I once heard a story about a town, Sheffield in Australia, which was a relatively backward area. However, the residents of Sheffield revitalized their homeland by Art. After discussing how to reform and innovation, at last some residents proposed to develop the tourism in order to attract more people to come. An inventive style of Art—Draw mural painting came up later. With the remarkable improvement and great effort, the town has realized its blueprint. The murals attract an estimated 200,000 people to the town annually. What a big change! Wait, wait, it’s not the only case to run across.
Huangjueping graffiti street is located in Chongqing City, is the Chinese and even the world’s largest graffiti art works. Chongqing graffiti art street is attracting more and more people to come. This street has become the first to Chinese graffiti art. Huangjueping graffiti art also takes on a new aspect, has become a new place for tourism in Chongqing. It is understood, graffiti street is to promote an innovative initiative of cultural and creative industries in Chongqing City. At that time the Huangjueping has the appearance of many old buildings are dilapidated, in urgent need of transformation, then the government boldly and Academy of Fine Arts artists after several times to discuss, finally determined to graffiti this form as a retrofitting scheme on this area of appearance. Street Art more or less gives the city visual shock, a feel of freedom and injected new vitality and unique elements. If you are into Street Arts, there are some good place you can visit. And there is other matter I want to suggest, if we happen to fall in love with two interesting things, maybe we should try to find a way to let them run across and combine them in order to get full use of both and then people will see something unexpected. Just like the Street Arts and tourism. No soul, No spirit, the city will be dying . Street Art brings a new spirit to the city, which will sure helps the development of tourism.
