About languages
There are three languages in Guangdong Province,  including cantonese ,  hakka and teochew.  Teochew is used in Chaoshan area mainly.  It is a truth universally acknowledged,  that Teochew is more difficult than mandarin.  For the nonnative people,  learning teochew is rough, spending many years to master it is absolute.  Chaoshan area covers an area of a sountheastern plain in Guangdong Province,  whose name is Chaoshan plain .  The Tropic of cancer passes Chaoshan area, so it is impossible to see snow there,  on the other hands, it is common to see typhoon there,  especially in summer,  because it is at the seasides.
About history
Long long ago, when Chaoshan area was very poor, the ancestors had to find a new way to seek surival, so they traveled far away across the sea, went to the Kra Peninsula to make money. Nowdays many Chaoshan people have relatives in Singapore, Thailand and so on. At that time,the people who stayed at the hometown were worried about the people outside, so they worshiped deities to pray their relatives for safety. Therefore,most Chaoshan people are superstitious today, especially in countryside. Now Chaoshan people worshipes deities at the beginning of every month and the middle of every month to the lunar calendar. Besides, every solar term, they worshipes deities , too.  In addition,Chaoshan people are traditional, which bring about low divorce rate.

About local music
About music, Chaoshan area have its national music.  First,  it is Chaoshan big gong and drum.  The music is leaping vigorous and full of excited emotion,  and it is usually played in the Spring Festival.  To be honored, Chaoshan big gong and drum appeared on CCTV.  Besides,  before and after Spring Festival, Chaoshan big gong and drum and deities parade the streets. At that time, the streets is very lively. Second, it is Chao Opera, which is a opera playing in Teochew. The old man in Chaoshan area usually watch Chao Opera on TV, which is a popular entertainment in their daily time.Also,  theatrical troupes perform Chao Opera in front of ancestral hall on holidays.
About food

Concerning food, the biggest characteristic of Chanshan food is fresh. Due to Chaoshan area is at the seaside , seafood is universal. Chaoshan food is lighter than other places in China.They eat hot pot in the winter ,  but they don’t need hot pot bottom material. Chaoshan people have no habit of eating spicy food. Out of lunch and dinner time, Chaoshan people often drink Kung Fu tea, which is a tea different from other places in China. Every family has at least one tea set at home and they must make tea when guests                             come to express their welcome for guests.
Chaoshan have many characteristic things besides what I introduced, above. Chanshan area is a well place for those who like characteristic things.

As a tourist attraction, the Changbai Tianchi never lack of tourists, but because the legends about the water sprite, Tianchi is always covered with a layer of mystery.

In 2002, in the slope, north of Changbai Mountian, two local people found “monsters”. In 2005, water sprite appeared again. The witnesses said it was like a whale or a submarine. In 2006, the “Monster” swam in the North Korean side of the water. It was channeling up and down, just like a water seal. From the telescope, it looked black and not very big. Somebody said it like a dinosaur, somebody considered it as a big iron, others thought it was a Buffalo. It disappeared in the water for ten minutes. At that time, more than one hundred visitors saw it. In 2013, hundreds of visitors saw two monsters playing and swimming in the Tianchi’s lake.

Somebody thought the so-called monster is only an illusion, others thought that this is a way to attract the local tourists. Is water sprite really in Tianchi’s lake? Let’s take a closer take about Changbai Tianchi.

Famous Tianchi is located in the Changbai mountain peak volcanic vertebral at the top of the body and it is China’s largest crater lake. Tianchi is surrounded by many peculiar-looking peaks. Every year, there will be a spectacle that the fire could run out of the water. It’s amazing! For the material in the lake is in contact with water, and it will produce flames. Not all tourists can see the spectacular sight of Tianchi, Tianchi’s climate varies from minute to minute. Sometimes within one day, or even an hour, weather may change several times. Just or sun point-blank, anxious to bake, suddenly the wind come up and the rain fall down. Mountain and lake drowned in the wind and rain.

Because there have been sightings of the water sprite, the scientists set up “Tianchi monster observation station” near the lake. Researchers carried out a long-term observation, and shoot from the valuable data, confirmed that unknown creatures in the water. But what is the specific biological, they don’t know. They got the Tianchi water for many times tests proved Tianchi water without any creature. Since there is no biological, if there is a monster, what it eat? This series of questions that make the Tianchi more mysterious and beautiful, attract more and more people to watch.

Of course, there is a beautiful legend about Tianchi. It is said that a fire breathing devil in Changbai Mountain, the whole mountain vegetation withered, all flames blot out the sun, people’s life were very hard. A girl named azalea, in order to overcome the devil, holding ice drill into its belly, to extinguish the fire. The fire was put out, then the peak into lake.
Is there a monster in the Tianchi？ Up to now it is a mystery. But still many things for us to admire like white clouds, blue sky, clear water and the magic of nature.

 

 

 

 

 

 

            Shanghai coordinate city oriented challenge has successfully held three sessions. In 2013 Shanghai city orientation coordinate challenge, participants reached to 3440 people. Most of the participants on the grounds are young students. We were honored to have the chance to join the challenge. We were tired but happy to have a visit in Shanghai . We were chosen as number. 6 and number 6 is called reliving the EXPO. Everyone was excited and lost ourselves in the fantasy of the EXPO. Many beautiful and amazing museums and exhibition. What attracted us most was the China pavilion. The magnificent appearance made us feel amazed. And many people took part in this game. We needed to accomplish ten parts. And we should finish them within the stipulated time. During the time, we were running through the EXPO Park,  doing different games and meeting all sorts of challenges. Such as we folded paper airplanes in order to let them fly over six meters. No one could deny it that we had fun. After all of the fantasy moments, we expect having fun again next time.

           On 11th May, I went to ShangHai in order to take part in the challenge in shanghai called Oriented challenge with four friends. Two friends are from Shanghai DongHua university. And the others are from Zhejiang University Of Media and Communications. Although we come from different schools, we still had a good time.
          In a word, the game means not just a thing but a true story of passion and cooperation. The memory is so nice and I will remember it all the time. Each activity has its meaning. Just like this activity. I gradually know what is cooperations and solidarity today. I love my team!

First of all, I have to sincerely recommend Beijing’s attractions. As we Chinese know, Wangfujing is the paradise for shopping. Wangfujing street is the only a walk street in Beijing. I & Pasta

I am a native of Shanxi loving Pasta so much especially for noodles. For me, for my family, for my neighbors, even for the whole people of city, noodles are considered as the best food that can make us feel happy. When eating noodles, we have a variety of fried vegetables. Before eating, we will mix them (fried vegetables and noodles) up, add a spoonful of vinegar and finally decorate with sill or coriander. The color and the great smell of noodles can quite stimulate your appetite. They love noodles, very anxious to eat noodles have three square meals a day.

 

In my life, my family is good at different kinds of noodles. My grandmother is good at LaMian (Ramen/ Hand-pulled noodles), she is pretty skillful because making LaMian needs pretty good skills. In a word, Rome wasn’t built in a day. So we can imagine how hard to make it. My mother can make sliced noodles, it’s perfect!  Every time I eat it, I was moved almost to tears. I just feel full of happiness. And as for my boyfriend, the udon noodles he made are the most delicious udon noodles that I’ve ever tasted.

 

When I was a child, I remembered that my mother taught me how to make steamed bread, all I need to do just roll the dough into a ball, and then waited for 20 minutes to steam them. But what enjoyed me most was learning to make flour sculpture. When I make the dough, I can make it as all kinds of shapes, rabbits, mice, hedgehogs, turtles… as long as I could imagine. Until now when I recalled those days, I just can’t stop laughing. The process is so interesting and I did learn the skills to make this delicious pasta.

Huangguoshu Waterfall 

There is no need to give a brief introduction of Huangguoshu Waterfall, in other words, no word can describe such a wonder perfectly. As a saying goes, “He who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true man.” It also applies to the waterfall. Huangguoshu Waterfall is of great momentum and has warm blood in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. It is the King of waterfalls without a doubt and it belongs to Guizhou.

Stepping out into Zhuyu Bay Scenic Area, a cute squirrel will come to great guests so that they can eat their favorite pine cones and then jump up and down in the pine trees. I smell a floral perfume sweeping on the river, so I sit down in the bridgehead, listening to songs and admiring lotus. Suddenly, a girl rowing and picking lotus appears, with a bamboo pole, she wears a bamboo hat and shuttles on the river slowly. It looks like a natural painting. Jingzhou is famous of its wall.The wall of Jingzhou City is in an old age even as old as Great Wall——it was bulit near the Spring and Autumn Period.Now which wall we can see was rebuilt in Ming and Qing Dynasty.Owe to the protection of the town government,these walls around the old city has been enjoyed by more and more people.The government planted cheery trees along the wall and cleaned the city moat.Therefore,the avenue along the wall and the moat has been the most popular place in the locality.Nevertheless,when it comes to key point of interest in Jingzhou,we can’t miss the Jingzhou Museum and Zhanghua Temple.Jingzhou Museum——which is also national four-star scenic possesses various kinds of silk cloths and porcelains of many dynasties and corpse of the Western Han Dynasy as well.Besides,there are some massifs and lakes which make tourists relax.Then the Zhanghua Temple,which seems to be ordinary,is called Hubei “jungle” and is protected by Hubei goverment.Also,there are many people(especially Guangdong and Hongkong businessmen coming here from all over our country.The most interesting thing is that the ancestral temple of Guan Yu, a famous general in the period of the Three Kingdoms,is famous out of Hubei but not so popular by local residents.

Jingzhou is also famous of its rich natural resources,espescially rice and fish.Meanwhile,there are many special local products such as fish cake,special sausage, and so on.My favorite are pickled paws and neck of duck and “mitofu”a special kind of tofu which is made by rice.The “mi tofu” is alike normal tofu such as white and square but softer. The most important point is that the taste is completely different from normal one.And as the area in the middle of China and alongside Yangtze River,Jingzhou “collects” orthodox cate from north to south such as big pastry and nooldles as well as fish soup and cakes——all of them are original taste.How wonderful,isn’t it?
