W020101115316370755208When you are a person of life, you can do anything you want at any time. But when you live with someone, you need to take care of other people’s habits. For example, when you listen to music, you can bring your headphones. Of course, if your roommate is willing to work with you to enjoy the music, you can share your favorite music with him. Or love your roommate very clean, you can invite him to join you clean your room. Normally, when you make a behavioral act if you think will make your roommate feel uncomfortable. If you really do not know if your roommate’s behavior will cause you dislike, you can go ask your roommate. If your behavior really make him feel uncomfortable, believe me, he’ll tell you. You can also chat with your roommate often and know what he was thinking. Sometimes your roommate invited to dinner with you, is a good choice. As a result, you will probably become friends.

If it is lifestyle issues, you can try to find a balanced approach to make mutually satisfactory. If the problem is the concept that you can respect each other under the premise put forward their views. You will be able to find the most suitable answer. If you do not communicate with each other but patience. Long continue, will lead to more serious problems.

When I went home in 1st May, my parents suggested going out for a meal, I happily agreed. We went to cinemas to see a lot of fantastic restaurant, at that time we all know what to choose good restaurant. At this time, Indian restaurant brand attracts me. I propose that our whole family to eat Indian food. Because we have never eaten Indian food before, so in order to seek a fresh we went to. We ordered 3 or 4 dishes, there are signs of chicken Fried rice, and naan bread. We are very much looking forward to the food at the same time. But a little confused, because the restaurant waiter staring at us and Indian waiter never avoid eyes.
Soon, the food is brought to the table. The reataurant boss and the waiter stared an us when we having the dinner. Under a lot of attention, my parents and I began to have dinner, the first feeling I think something wrong, because rice is ice. Chicken is also very hard, but because the people in the restaurant was looking at us. Out of politeness, we didn’t show it doesn’t taste good. So we always keep a smile and a meal keeps saying is really “fantastic” . One side of the Indian waiter see we look and hear our smile seemed very relaxed and had a happy mood. But I from the heart to say I really don’t like Indian food, Because the Indian food is so “fantastic”!
When we got to the check-out, the boss of the restaurant is very pleasant to change and see we left a lot of food close to ask we need to pack. Obviously, my parents and I are not willing to. We say that the really “fantastic” but quickly walked out of the restaurant.

Challenges in HangZhou

selfie with Lousie

Louise who comes from Ireland has been discovered life in Hangzhou for one week, she told me at first ‘it was a culture shock’. If you wanna know Louise experience in Hangzhou what different from her way of life in UK, just keep reading.

by AMZ Class3

FOOD CHALLENGE The first challenge Louise encountered is chopsticks. When she arrived at the airport she was really tried and hungry because of the jet lag. So she went for a meal but no knife and fork but chopsticks, she never uses chopsticks before, so she asked waitress for help, ”it really embarrass” she said. One week later she gets used to eating with chopsticks. ”It is no longer hungry” she smiled.

Besides she said the food in China is quite different from that in UK, which makes she impressed is that it seems like Chinese could eat every portion of animal, like chicken feet and animal viscera because  people in UK  only eat a portion of animal like chicken breast.but she is willing to have a try.

WEATHER CHALLENGE Louise said she can not get used to the weather in Hangzhou, “it is so hot and humid, I almost take shower  like three times a day ,” and the weather in Hangzhou as changeable as baby’s face, it seems like we can experience four seasons in one day.

CELEBRITY LIFE When she walks on the street, many Chinese are interested in her, they wanna take a picture with her, even give their baby to her to take a picture. That makes she feel like s a celebrity she said “maybe it just because I looks different.” “It is not easy to be a celebrity” she added.

TOILET CHALLENGE May be it is an embarrassing question. But everyone has to face it. Louise said she was shocked by the toilet in China. In most public toilets, there are pit latrines.  As we all know, Europeans are used to sitting toilets. So some of her friends rejected to use such weird toilets at first time. But soon, like solving other problems, they overcame this challenge. Overall, it is a little bit difficult but also an amazing experience.

CLOTHES DISCOVERING Chinese silk is famous all over the world. In addition, good silk in anchored in Hangzhou. If you travel to Hangzhou, you must not miss the cherish chance to buy some silk. Louise shared us  her experience about buying silk clothes for her boyfriend. It is an interesting shopping experience. We firmly believe that her boyfriend will love this exquisite present.

CONCLUSION The travel to China is full of challenge. But it is also meaningful and colorful. Louise said it will be precious memory in her whole life.

2 WEEK CULTURE SHOCK IN CHINA

IMG_3620

Erin a language student from University of Ulster, Coleraine Northern Ireland is on a 2 week trip to Hangzhou to learn about Chinese life and culture. Yesterday afternoon we met at the Zhejiang Media University for a chat to discuss her experience so far.

By: Class 3 Erin and Yi Fengyu

Q. Hello we are both students here at Zhejiang Media University, if you wouldn’t mind we would like to ask you a few questions about your first impressions of China?

The main thing I have noticed is the food here is very different, especially at meal times and the variety of dishes.

Normally in the UK for breakfast we wouldn’t have rice or noodles we would have cereal or toast instead. Also using chopsticks was difficult to master at the beginning, in UK we use knifes & forks and spoons. In addition the dishes are very unusual in particular chicken feet and turtle soup were quite shocking.

Q. Is university life here similar to that in the UK?

No student life here, is very different to the UK as here there are very strict rules and curfews. In my university we don’t have bells also the university in China is huge and probably about 10 times the size of our university in the UK. Many the students in the UK only live on campus for their first year and then in private housing near the university but here the students live on campus for their entire degree course.

Q. What has your experience been of daily life here in China?

It is very hot and humid here whereas in the UK it rains most of the time and we only have a few hot sunny days during the summer. I was surprised at how cheap everything is to buy out here especially clothes and food. It’s quite unusual to see people using umbrellas to protect them from the sun rather than the rain like in the UK.

Also one of the more difficult things to adapt to were the different type of toilets here compared to the UK.

Chinese cities are very overcrowded and huge compared to those in the UK.

Finally what myself and the other students from my university that are also on this trip find quite amusing is the fact that wherever we go people take photos and stare at us.

Q. Finally what have been your highlights so far during your stay?

I really enjoyed visiting Shanghai and seeing the amazing skyscrapers and view from the top floor of the Oriental Pearl, also the beautiful gardens in Suzhou. I have found many Chinese people to be very welcoming and even though there are many differences between life in China and the UK I would to like to return to another part of China in the future as it is a country which has a fascinating culture and history.

Many thanks Erin for letting us interview you today and we hope you enjoy the rest of your stay.

According to Coker ,the video is a way to promote Wren attire without breaking the bank.and the approach seems to have worked ,the sales of Wren has a huge growth since the video posted on youtube. the reason why that ad is so successful is that the company catches the genuine human emotion. Most people watching want to believe that this is possible for them. They could be one one of those strangers. Mockumentary – wearing real coat, tells the fictional story

If Woody Allen mentioned, first poured into my mind is: black-rimmed glasses, little man, nervousness, prudish, strange, thin old man. Last week, while watching Woody Allen’s work in the classroom, I have always been plagued by a problem – what is a pseudo-documentary? Why Woody Allen likes to make Mockumentary so much? Next, I will take “chameleon” for example, and analyze the above problems.
GONGDAN 110110115

2730517363If you want me use a few words to describe my favorite director Woody Allen, it must be geeks, neurotic, old elf, prudish …… What he impressed me most was the one he refused to lead the world’s lifetime Achievement Award, 13 nominations but did not participate. Second, he was a 78-year-old could have been directed and starred in the all-around filmmaker, basically every year a new movie release. Third,Woody Allen’s private life is rich. Fourth, the film’s pseudo-documentary style. But today I want from “chameleon” to talk about a pseudo-documentary in the works of Woody Allen movies.

“Chameleon” shot in 1983 in the form of black and white documentary fiction in 1928, tells the story of a biography about Zelig, he has an amazing ability, can always be like “Chameleon”, as some people become close. By the Alan himself starred Zelig, and then-girlfriend Mia Farrow starred in the spirit of the physician to cure Zelig Eudora Eudora.673614_1363079821_10

Mockumentary biggest feature is: a combination of real and fictional, using plausible picture, Paralanguage and viewers unfamiliar actors, or even trying to use a lot of simulation tools largest real three-dimensional to the audience, but actually is fictional. If Woody Allen mentioned 2-2387In the “chameleon” ,director woody allen used the old news, old photos, old recordings, made the old new photos, old new recordings , as well as to the negative scratches made to highlight the effect of twinkling old movies, etc. are intended to reflect reality. In addition, most of the story through photos and voice-over commentary to tell the story, in order to broaden the narrative, also interviewed Susan Sontag, Irving Howe, Saul Bellow and other modern intellectuals are making the audience believe that the film’s three-dimensional sense and realism. In short, do the old videos, photos, coupled with a strong three-dimensional recording interviews, just hard to find, this story is completely fictional.

409b450fjw1dpjguiwk9wj“Mockumentary”, also known as “fake documentary.” It uses satire or parody way to analyze large social events or issues, challenges people to the established fact of cognition, and the true concept of the documentary in the core proposition. In the “chameleon”, the true story through a series of seemingly triggered the audience to reflect on humanity. For example: The doctor responsible for medical Zelig unheard of that person’s condition, is calculated using the sensibility of his way to conduct a thorough study to identify themselves to the audience to think about this behavior. Besides, directed by clever use of irony way to analyze large social events or issues, challenges people’s awareness for the established fact, and for documentaries in the core proposition true concept. There are similar pseudo-documentary “The Blair Witch Project ‘attention is to pursue the myth of the terrible events experienced by the protagonist, the 1969 movie” Take the money and run “is intended to reflect the little things from life little sad helpless.

I believe that through the above analysis, we have a pseudo-documentary a general understanding, for me, I like the pseudo-documentary, because I think the pseudo-documentary is a valuable approach, an attitude. Although the story is fictional, but the movie has attempted to make the audience believe that the documentary form real images, the actual result is often the audience back to reality, causing people to think, have very far-reaching implications.

Happy Marriage of Korean Fried Chicken and Beer

Beer and fried chicken-this seemingly unorthodox combo has been the most sought among young people after late-night snack recently in China because of a South Korean TV series. Many restaurants are serving this combo to attract customers.

Happy Marriage of Korean Fried Chicken and BeerBy Zhiyong Su 120104227 Class 3

In the series “My Love from The Star,” the main character tends to say: “It’s time for some fried chicken and beer in a warm air-conditioned room.”All of a sudden, on the tables of many dorms and in Weibo and Weixin (or WeChat) updates, the combo went viral.
Soon, it became a fad among young people who like to order fried chicken from restaurants such as KFC and McDonald’s and eat them with beer. Smelling an opportunity there, some restaurants added fried chicken in the menu. It’s reported that a cinema is considering replacing the traditional combo of popcorn and coke with a fried-chicken-and-kvass combo. Kvass is a light beer considered suitable for watching movie.
Sim June-bo, owner of Barsak Chicken and Beer, a Korean restaurant in Beijing’s Wangjing district, said he has noticed a significant increase in the restaurant’s Chinese clientele since the show began airing.
“I have been doing fried chicken business for eight years, but this is the first time I’ve seen so many Chinese clients coming to order fried chicken with beer,” he said.
“In the past, 40% of our clients who ordered fried chicken were Chinese and 60% were Korean. Now it is 80% Chinese and 20% Korean,” Mr. Sim said, adding that one day last week there were as many as 100 people waiting to get some fried chicken to go.
At another fried chicken takeaway joint in Wangjing, which is home to several Korean eateries, an employee surnamed Zhang said the restaurant also has seen a notable increase in business.
“Our daily revenue used to be about several hundred yuan, but since last month, it has grown rapidly and can reach as much as 3,000 yuan per day,” he said.
Even those who don’t follow the drama are falling for the chicken-and-beer craze.Mr. Li works for a media company said he went to a Korean chimek restaurant last weekend with some friends who are fans of the drama and waited in line for about two hours to buy some fried chicken to go.
“After I posted pictures from the restaurant, I got calls from my friends to ask me how to get there,” he said.
And you’ll be surprised when you use Weixin and put in beer and fried chicken, snow will fall on the screen, and it will also do when you search beer and fried chicken with Baidu search engine, the comment said it’s fashionable.

There is a mountain is called Mount Li in Chain Xi’an. Mount Li has a very long history .For example, the history of “feudal war drama, a smile lost world” story took place here. But now I want to say is The Mount Li Mausoleum. Many TV shows derive from Mount Li, such as Myth, Qin moon and A terra cotta warrior. Why? Because Mount Li is a secret. According to legend, Qinsh ihuang was the Mount Li in the encounter with the goddess, travel, to play the goddess, the goddess fury in his face, spit, Qinshihuang soon had a bad sore. Although this is a fairy tale, but indistinct can see Qin Shi huang and Mount Li seems to some fate. His grave is in the Mount Li. Though we have found Qin Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses Figurines, no one can enter the tomb so far .The cemetery after Qin capital of Xianyang layout construction. The mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi huang’s Chinese first Royal Cemetery, in China hundreds of imperial tombs, with its grand scale, fossil rich known to the world. What a huge project! It’s said that his tomb is surrounded with mercury to avoid grave robbers. Main organs inside the tomb filled with arrows crossbow, the tomb of the people will be shot dead near. I must admit Qin is a circumspect people.
Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, it is the South Mount Li layer love overlapping peaks, verdant mountains; north of theQQ图片20140605223837 curved, may lie beside the Wei River. The big mound in the lofty ridges and peaks surrounded with Mount Li all blend into one harmonious whole, beautiful scenery, the environment. The grand scale, the momentum of the majestic. The total area of 56.25 square kilometers. Ling on closing high of about 115 meters, is still as high as 76 meters, the cemetery has the twofold city wall, the inner city perimeter 3840 meters, the perimeter 6210 meters. There are about 8 – 10 meters outside the city walls wall, today is the residual site .When you see the tomb recovery plan. I bat you must be shocked by it. Everyone will wonder the ancients, creativity.
Obviously, the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor Palace of the Earth scale is China past any imperial tomb cannot be compared, by its size and the construction process is far beyond our imagination, is secret and magical heavy fog wrapped still buried deep in the dark underground, and so on that day alone, looking forward to The case is entirely cleared. in the world.

About vampire The twilight saga

6b777ff9g92a8be635ffd&690

QiMin Wu 120211408
If you’re a vampire, it’s all about you. Why is Edward Cullen obsessed to the point of erotomania by Bella Swan?Because she smells so yummy, but he doesn’t want to kill her. Here’s what he tells her: He must not be around her. He might sink his fangs in just a little, and not be able to stop. She finds this overwhelmingly attractive. She tells him he is the most beautiful thing she has ever seen. I don’t remember Edward ever saying that to her. Maybe once. He keeps on saying they should stay far, far apart, because he craves her so much.

Should a woman fall in love with a man because he desires her so much? Men seem to think so. It’s not about the woman, it’s about the man’s desire. We all know there is no such thing as a vampire. Come on now, what is “Twilight” really about? It’s about a teenage boy trying to practice abstinence, and how, in the heat of the moment, it’s really, really hard. And about a girl who wants to go all the way with him, and doesn’t care what might happen. He’s so beautiful she would do anything for him. She is the embodiment of the sentiment, “I’d die for you.” She is, like many adolescents, a thanatophile.

If there were no vampires in “Twilight,” it would be a thin-blooded teenage romance, about two good-looking kids who want each other so much because they want each other so much. Sometimes that’s all it’s about, isn’t it? They’re in love with being in love. In “Twilight,” however, they have a seductive disagreement about whether he should kill her. She’s like, I don’t especially want to die, but if that’s what it takes, count me in. She is touched by his devotion. Think what a sacrifice he is making on her behalf. On Prom Night, on the stage of the not especially private gazebo in the public gardens, he teeters right on the brink of a fang job, and then brings all of her trembling to a dead stand-still.

The movie is lush and beautiful, and the actors are well-chosen. You may recall Robert Pattinson (Edward) as Cedric Diggory, who on Voldemort’s orders was murdered in a graveyard in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.” Maybe he was already a vampire. Pattinson is not unaware of how handsome he is. When Bella and Edward, still strangers, exchange stern and burning looks in the school cafeteria, he transfixes her with a dark and glowering – nay, penetrating – stare. I checked Pattinson out on Google Images and found he almost always glowers at the camera ‘neath shadowed brow. Kristen Stewart’s Bella, on the other hand, is a fresh-faced innocent who is totally undefended against his voltage.

Bella has left her mom and stepdad in hot Arizona, clutching a potted cactus, to come live in the clammy, rainy Pacific Northwest, home of Seasonal Affective Disorder. Her dad (Billy Burke) is the chief of police of the very small town of Forks, Washington (pop. 3,120). His greatest asset: “He doesn’t hover.” At high school, she quickly notices the preternaturally pale Cullen clan, who in some shots seem to be wearing as much Max Factor Pancake White as Harry Langdon. Edward is 114 years old. He must be really tired of taking biology class. Darwin came in during his watch, and proved vampires can’t exist.

There are other strange youths around, including American Indians who appear not too distantly descended from their tribe’s ancestors, wolves. Great tension between the wolves and vampires. Also some rival vampires around. How small is this town? The Forks high school is so big, it must serve a consolidated district serving the whole table setting. The main local Normal Kid is a nice sandy-haired boy who asks Bella to the prom. He’s out of his depth here, unless he can transmogrify into a grizzly. Also there are four grey-bearded coots at the next table in the local diner, who eavesdrop and exchange significant glances and get big, significant close-ups but are still just sitting significantly nodding, for all I know.

Edward has the ability to move as swiftly as Superman. Like him he can stop a runaway pickup with one arm. He rescues Bella twice that I remember, maybe because he truly loves her, maybe because he’s saving her for later. She has questions. “How did you appear out of nowhere and stop that truck?” Well might she ask. When he finally explains that he is a vampire, he goes up from 8 to 10 on her Erotometer. Why do girls always prefer the distant, aloof, handsome, dangerous dudes instead of cheerful chaps like me?

“Twilight” will mesmerize its target audience, 16-year-old girls and their grandmothers. Their mothers know all too much about boys like this. I saw it at a sneak preview. Last time I saw a movie in that same theater, the audience welcomed it as an opportunity to catch up on gossip, texting, and laughing at private jokes. This time the audience was rapt with attention. Sometimes a soft chuckle, as when the principal Indian boy has well-developed incisors. Sometimes a soft sigh. Afterwards, I eavesdropped on some conversations. A few were saying, “He’s so hot!” More floated in a sweet dreaminess. Edward seemed to stir their surrender instincts.

The movie, based on the Stephenie Meyer novel, was directed by Catherine Hardwicke. She uses her great discovery, Nikki Reed, in the role of the beautiful Rosalie Hale. Reed wrote Hardwick’s “Thirteen” (2003) when she was only 14. That was a movie that knew a lot more about teenage girls. The girl played by Reed in that movie would make mincemeat of Edward. But I understand who “Twilight” appeals to, and it sure will.
