Hip hop music, also called hip-hop, rap music, or hip-hop music, is a music genre consisting of a stylized rhythmic music that commonly accompanies rapping, a rhythmic and rhyming speech that is chanted. It developed as part of hip hop culture, a subculture defined by four key stylistic elements: MCing/rapping,DJing/scratching, break dancing, and graffiti writing. Other elements include sampling (or synthesis), and beat boxing.

While often used to refer to rapping, “hip hop” more properly denotes the practice of the entire subculture. The term hip hop music is sometimes used synonymously with the term rap music, though rapping is not a required component of hip hop music; the genre may also incorporate other elements of hip hop culture, including DJing and scratching, beatboxing, and instrumental tracks.

There are four periods in the history of Hip-hop: Roots of hip-hop, old school hip-hop, new school hip-hop and golden age hip-hop. And there are so many kinds of hip-hop music in US, such as Acid rap, Bounce music, Electro, Freestyle rap, Gangsta rap, Grime, Hip-hop soul and so on. There are mainly two schools of US hip-hop: West Coast Hip-hop and East Coast Hip-hop. The most famous one is West Coast Hip-hop.

After N.W.A broke up, Dr. Dre (a former member) released The Chronic in 1992, which peaked at #1 on the R&B/hip hop chart, #3 on the pop chart and spawned a #2 pop single with “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang.” The Chronic took West Coast rap in a new direction,influenced strongly by P funk artists, melding smooth and easy funk beats with slowly drawled lyrics. This came to be known as G-funk and dominated mainstream hip hop for several years through a roster of artists on Death Row Records, including Tupac Shakur, whose double disc album All Eyez on Me was a big hit with hit songs “Ambitionz az a Ridah” and “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted“, and Snoop Dogg, whose Doggystyle included the songs “What’s My Name?” and “Gin and Juice“, both top ten hits. As the Los Angeles-based label Death Row Records built an empire around Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and the rapper-actor Tupac Shakur. In fact, WC Hip-hop has given a great influence all over the world. Jeanguy and Paxi, two hip-hop dancers working in China, they say:”West Coast is the best because East is bad in the art of singing and South is dirty .The best singer&rappers are almost from West such as 2Pac,Dr.dre,Snoopy Dogg.” In their opinions.Hip hop music is not just a type of music, but also represents a kind of attitude to life. Being asked about the situation of hip-hop nowadays and the future, they say:”As 2Pac said, Hip-hop never die.”

Movies come from life, but create a higher state than life. Nowadays, we go to the movie theatre more and more frequently as the promote of economic level. It’s the symbol of the improve of our life quality and also shows that movies are become an important part of our life. Movies are the ramifications of the little sparks in our life, are the combination of the beautiful, meaningful, even painful moments of life.

Artists catch those splendid instants, and then beautify them or intensify them, make them more artificial. Finally, coupled with their imaginations and little plots to better express the theme they want to show to people, those little sparks in life become a movie. So technically, movies are the epitomes of life. Thousands of movies reflect thousands of outlooks on life. Nowadays, many movies are aimed at earning money. The only target of this kind of movie is to attract people’s attention and get huge profit. Therefore most of them are less creative, meaningless and all in the same key. Just cater to audience’s appetite. These sort of movies are also the reflection of the high pace of life and the money emphasized world at present.

End Of The Century

Edvard Munch said:“I want to describe the kind of touched my heart. I do not draw lines and colors I see, but the things I have experienced.”

Firstly, I will introduce Edvard Munch whose deadee is printed on the Norwegian krona. He was a Norwegian Symbolist painter,printmaker whose intensely evocative treatment of psychological themes built upon some of the  main tenets of late 19th-century Symbolism and he greatly influenced German Expressionism in the early 20th-century. Do you know him? If you are unfamiliar with this name, it does not matter. You must hear of The Scream , his best-known composition. The Scream is one of the pieces in a series titled The Frieze of Life, in which Munch explored the themes of life, love, fear, death, and melancholy. Once Munch described his inspiration of the The Scream,he said :“once evening I was walking along a path, the city was on one side and the fjord below. I felt tired and ill. I stopped and looked out over the fjord–the sun was setting, and the clouds turning blood red. I sensed a scream passing through the nature, it seemed to me that I heard the scream.” He suffer a lot when he was young, so his character is despair and anxiety, it is the reason why his works are full of the themes of life, love, fear, death, and melancholy. Art historian called Munch the “end of the century”, because his works reflects the spirit of a whole generation of European in the aspects of their life. No one dared to describe the naked ugliness of the human instinct by making the coexistence of good and evil and beauty and ugliness as him. This is why his deadee can be printed on the Norwegian krona.

The Father Of Painting

Andrea Bain Once commented:＂Frankly,Caravaggio’s work marked the beginning painting.＂

The next great painter is Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggiot know who he is. But if you have ever traveled to Italy, you might see him on the coin. He is a famous Italy painter from the early 16th century to the 17th century. His artistic career began after all masters of the Italian Renaissance had dead. He is a distinguished Italian realist painter. He studied in Milan to study painting from painter Virtue Bolzano. He inherited the tradition of realism, folk painting, and influenced by the Venetian school in the northern Italy. Between 1593 and 1610, he was active in Rome, Naples, Malta, and Sicily. Caravaggio was known for realistically capturing moments of human emotion and painting the drama of psychological relationships. He broke the conventional styles of depicting the saints and used ordinary people as models, painting them with realistic detail showing the Saints’ common humanity. Though he was highly esteemed by other artists of his time, his deviation from the idealized styles of 16th century Mannerism brought up much public criticism. s technique and use of tenebrism influenced the development of the Baroque school of art as well as the paintings of many artists including Rubens, Rembrandt, and Velazquez.

His works includes The Calling of St. Matthew, The Conversion of St. Paul, The Supper at Emmaus and so on. In 1920s, painting critic Roberot Lungi once again brought his name to the public eye. Lungi said:＂If there is no him, nor is Ribera, Vermeer, La Tours and Rembrandt. Without him, Delacroix would entirely be another way to depict Courbet and horses＂. In Many large art museums, a few room hung with his works with dramatic lighting, ordinary models, faithfully depict nature. Many famous painters inherited the style of Caravaggio.

Now, I believe that many of you know why he can be printed on the Italy coins. Both of them are great and valuable deadee. They keep us living, not only in substance, but also in spirit.

The most pervasive and persuasive of modern technologies, marked by rapid change and growth is moving into a new era, an era of extraordinary sophistication and versatility, which promises to reshape our lives and our world. It is an electronic revolution of sorts, made possible by the marriage of television and computer technologies.Yes,it is “Television“.

The word “television”, derived from its Greek (tele: distant) and Latin (visi sight) roots, can literally be interpreted as sight from a distance. Very simply put, it works in this way: through a sophisticated system of electronics, television provides the capability of converting an image  into electronic impulses, which can be sent through a wire or cable. These impulses, when fed into a receiver, can then be electronically reconstituted into that same image.

Television is more than just an electronic system, however. It is a means of expression, as well as a vehicle for communication, and as such becomes a powerful tool for reaching other human beings.

Some people believe that television has destroyed communication among friends and family. I think this is an exaggeration. In my opinion, whether or not television hurts communication depends on what type of program is being viewed. More importantly, it depends on the type of viewer. Which type you always stay?

There are empty programs and educational programs. Empty programs do not challenge people. They have just enough story lines to keep them from switching channels. There are also passive and active viewers. A passive viewer will just watch television without thinking,never share or talk about it.But,the active viewers watching educational programming always want to share what they see with friends or families. “Educational” doesn’t necessarily mean documentaries . They could be dramas with realistic relationships or action shows with clever plotlines. When active viewers watch programs, they have ideas and talk about them with others. Good programming inspires them to change their thinking and their lives.Hence,be an  active viewer is  important,and this is a way to have  colorful life.

Today,you can  get more  from it, the modern scientific and technological knowledge,  social and economic activities,  some impossible fantasies come true by TV shows, if you want, you can find a wife or husband through it. Thus, what are you waiting for? Turn on the TV!

 

 

Guild wars2 (GW2) is the most expected game in China recent years. And GW2 will open servers in China on May 1. there are many exciting stories in GW2. All the stories happened on the fiction land named Tyria. A lot of races living on this land, and the most fantastic races is the Ancient dragon. So what is the Ancient dragon? And what stories they have? Can we meet them in the game? Let me tell you more.

In GW2 the dragon is the one and only creatures, they devour magic for living instead of swallowing food as we usually know, Every tribe on Tyria are considered ancient dragon’s elemental powers as the original incarnation, the dragon’s powers as unstoppable as blizzards and earthquakes. Ancient dragon rarely appeared in all affairs of Tyria directly, they prefer to send their servants for their work. Each of dragon has their own fighters to manage their territory. Ancient dragon relate to elements- fire, ice, undead, water, and crystal – the servants are also reflect that.

 

At 1078AE,the first ancient dragon Primordus wake up with vibration. Its most powerful fighter the “Great Destroyer” and army from “Depths of Tyria” are pouring in, banish Asuras to the earth’s surface, and destroy many underground civilizations. then Asura joint Dwarves , Norn and Ebon Vanguard, destroy the “Great Destroyer”, However, it let dwarf paid a heavy price, to defeat the “Great Destroyer” ,Dwarves use “Rite of the Great Dwarf”, Today, the dwarves still fighting in the “Depths of Tyria”, so the surface can survive.

After Primordus, Jormag wake up at 1165AE, and appear at the north of Far Shiverpeaks. It break up mountains, change the ocean. Norns living in Far Shiverpeaks try to defeat Jormag, but they finally failed, so the “Spirits of the Wild” leads Norns move to the south. 

 

The third ancient dragon is Zhaitan, the undead dragon. It makes the sunken kingdom Orr arise to the surface again. And flood the seaboard of Tyria .Zhaitan makes those drowned people into his undead army, and cross over Strait of Malchor , attack south east of Elona .Also block the Cantha with the outside world.

At 1320AE, Kralkatorrik spring up from north of Blood Legion Homelands ,fly to the south and across the Ascalon.His breath erode everything on his way, and form the “Dragonbrand”

There are another two Ancient dragons in GW2,but in the game we can just see their servants nowadays. But maybe the Ancient dragon is waking, by that time we must have to face a big fight.

“ Bazinga! ”is it familiar to you? Yeah, it is the pet phrase owned by Sheldon, a very peculiar character in our daily life, but an ordinary weirdo in an American drama “Big Bang Theory”.

The big bang theory deals with stories between four weirdoes and a sexy woman, Penny. The men didn’t show off V-shape carves but attracted us with their odd signatures. In fact, it was the combination of the weird and advanced people that made it different, producing a better theatre. They are called “GEEK”.

With this play hitting the big screen, a group of new human beings which named geek was created. Thus, these geeks were thrust into the spotlight. When it comes to geek, the first thing flashes on people’s mind are wisdom, creativity and, stubbornness. The word geek is a slang term originally used to describe eccentric or non-mainstream people, with different connotations ranging from an expert or enthusiast to a person heavily interested in a hobby, with a general pejorative meaning of a peculiar or otherwise dislikable person, especially one who is perceived to be overly intellectual.

Although often considered as a pejorative, the term is also used self-referentially without malice or as a source of pride. Its meaning has evolved to connote “someone who is interested in a subject (usually intellectual or complex) for its own sake”. But historically, a geek was a circus person in the sideshow who performed some bizarre feat. Over time, the meaning of geek has changed to include anyone with an obsession that places him outside mainstream society.

We gradually take it for granted that geeks are someone with higher IQ but poor EQ. We formed such mind-set that maybe when we are shopping, geeks are making formula derivation, when we are chatting, geeks are experimenting, when we are sleeping, geeks are ……knock it off ! They are certainly sleeping too. They are not all-nighters or iron men, but personify the worship of technology .

In 1952, the short story “The Rolling Stone” wrote by Robert Anson Heinlein put forward the word “geek” firstly to describe someone who is fond of science, math and technology. At first, this word often used on transistors and integrated circuits fanatical technical staff in the 1960s and 1970s like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. They are surely a digital dude for a digital age. They do all share one very crucial characteristic that they look like space alien come from some other planet.

Geek, the darling of the time, the trouble-shooters of the subculture, come to the center from the edge of the world gradually. Especially with the coming of the television age and the increasing emphasis on technology in all quarters of our society, many factors would have us believe that the time of geeks are coming. Geek has a world that is the combination of reality and fantasy. Believe it or not, geeks are everywhere around us, we will know and understand more from what they de one day.

With the development of mobile phone production, many company invented numerous apps on games. Recently, there are various interesting games attract many people’s attention. A game named “Do not step on the white” has been become popular lately. The game is pretty simple and only has two colors, black and white. The player just needs to touch the proportion of black area. Nevertheless, it still cause numerous players download and compete with each other. The weibo, wechat, all of social platform are talking about this game! Suddenly, this game has been become a hot topic in weibo and plenty of net friends are enjoy to comment. Players are so obsessed with showing record. Same situation happened on another one called “flappy bird”, which is an also simple but difficult, challenging game. “Flappy bird” triggered people’s anger because of the game is very easily over without full attention. Players only use one finger to touch screen but they want to break the phone! This game caused severely case. A boy is out of his mind to murder his brother because of his brother broke his record. How crazy and pathetic! The producer of “flappy bird” Nguyen Ha Dong claimed that the public overestimated this game and he strains about that, so he cancelled this app after few days. Those games witnessed how mobile phone game can affect people.

The phenomenon manifests people are so involved with mobile phone games. A study by sociologist showed quantity of mobile game player is overtaking the internet player in recent years. Phone games almost occupied many current people’s daily life, “there are 3 reasons.” He analyzed, “Firstly, mobile phone is more convenient to carry. Obviously, it is small and handy. Almost all of people have phone today and cannot live without it. 70 percent people have their personal phone in China. Secondly, mobile phone games has terrific manufacture and playability, it depends on different scene to design. On contrary, it’s not like some large online games only attract male but not female. Phone games are divided into various different types, such as action game, adventure game, puzzle game, etc. Different people can choose the type what they like. Last but not least, mobile phone games are depends on player’s choice; it has no limit on space or time. Meanwhile, there are many free apps can be download on the internet. Other type of game may cost more money and time to play. For instance, online games need player spend time and virtual money to set up a great record constantly. Sometimes, we have to put an earphone and tell the teammate how to do. If you do some mistakes, you might probably be blamed.

It is reasonable to play phone games during the spare time. After our working or studying, phone games provide a little entertainment to have a breather.  But we should have right attitude about phone games. Do not play too much and lose ourselves. After all, it is not centre of our life.

As the technology develops so fast, computers have come into almost everyone’s room. Whether use it to work or to play, computer is quite convenient. And as a by-product of computers, online games become more and more popular among people especially young guys such as World of Warcraft and League of Legends. Thanks to the internet, people from all over the world can play games together. There are also many competition about online games and attracts a lot of young people to fight for their dreams to become the best player of the world.

When we talk about e-sports, we’ll think of WCG which is the best competition of e-sports all over the world. Players play games for their country and try their best to get a good rank in order to win honor both for their country and themselves. And I’d like to introduce Sky, Li Xiaofeng ,who won the first place of Warcraft 3 in WCG2005 and become the first Chinese to stand on the world podium. His experience makes lots of young people become interested in e-sports.

Who don’t want to stand on the world ? Who don’t want to make what they like as their job ? Who don’t want to win honor for their country? Now, e-sports give everyone a chance to play for your country, you don’t need to have a quite strong body, all you need is your love for online games. The development of online games spawned the e-sports. Samsung seized the chance and hold the biggest event of e-sports– WCG. Though this event will not be held again. But it has made a lasting impression on people who enjoy the e-sports.

E-sports is the same as normal sports. If you want to win, you need to practice a lot. And it’s a battle between intelligence instead of physical strength. E-sports player are also wage earner, they will be trained everyday by their club just like soccer and basketball players. But e-sports have its own advantage that other sports don’t have. It’s membership base. For instance, over 20 million over the world play League of Legend. It’s much bigger than other sports, isn’t it? From this, we can know the charm of the e-sports.

And the most important, online games is quite easy to learn and to enjoy when compare with others such as running, jumping. All you need is a computer that is connected to the internet. Now, there are more than 40 million people in China take part in varies kinds of e-sports. E-sports is not a game, it’s a battle and competitors fight for their dream. We can develope team spirit and improve the ability of thinking, reaction, eye coordination and also discipline our willpower. Quite good, don’t you think so? It’s wrong to say that play games is of no use. We can also win prize by playing games, we can also win honor by playing games and we can find our value by playing games.

Online games is not bad but we should not lose ourselves into it. We should enjoy it and play it appropriately. E-sports is fantastic and amazing and full of passion, and I think everyone can enjoy it. Life is also a big game, and we are the players of this game. We play this big game, and enjoy it. So , why not enjoy online games and e-sports. Where you can spray your youth freely.

“The film takes a critical look at the lives of Benedict “Hyhy” Lim, Danil “Dendi” Ishutin and Clinton “Fear” Loomis, three professional electronic sports players who participated in The International 2011, the most lucrative video game tournament to date at the time. The central focus of the film is how their commitment to Defense of the Ancients (Dota) had affected their lives and how this debut tournament for the sequel, Dota 2, would bring more meaning to their struggles.”
The movie is quite generally received by critics. Many people hold the belief that it’s a great documentary. It was truly a fantastic film with a strong story, great pacing, and fun, likeable characters. This was the movie you would want to show your family and friends that did not understand why you play competitive online games. But some people hold a different idea. A net friend dgrmouse commented “One thumbs down for the movie, two big thumbs down for watching movies through Steam.” When people asked why, he said “It was like watching Rudy, but without the football or the good acting.” “Rudy was dramatic, this was dramatized. He asked why the film didn’t appeal to me and I answered; as for whether or not the film deserves praise as “one of the best documentaries?” No, just no. For the unbiased viewer, you’re likely to find something better than this cliched piece on your cable TV right now.”
As we all know, traditional sports can loose loose bones and muscles and keep us fit. Many people love watching sports game on TV even stay up late. But what about the e-sports? Compared with traditional sports, e-sports players always sit in front of the computer. They often sit for hours without stop, which does harm to the eyes and causes an aggravated neck or shoulder. What’s more, the internet is the main medium for e-sports coverage. Because the amount of the e-sports’ audiences is quite few. There are only few news organizations dedicated to the e-sports. As a result, many people don’t agree e-sport is a sport.
The heated debate around e-sports in the internet is never stopped. Some say that e-sports are still in infancy, It’s too early to be defined as a sport. In the long run, developing into an entertainment would be right and proper. They do not support the e-sports to be so serious and became far from the purpose of relax, just like children wear adults’ clothes. Some regard e-sports as chess games. The chess game is playing on the chair and needs players’ high attention. It also requires players’ physical qualities, or players ’attention will decline and fail the competition. Like chess game can be recognized as a sport game. Why e-sports can’t?
FREE TO PLAY did not avoid the pain of the players. Through the cruelty of the e-sports mechanism itself, the things like what players suffered, the very short career, no fixed income and so on had been showed. People can see the present situation of e-sports industry is not perfect. In the eyes of the mainstream media, competitive game is just a game. Although in recent years the saying like “electronic heroin” with the game market scare expanding gradually, but game is still defined as the entertainment. Only the large market shares attract a glance from the well-heeled who hold the social speaking rights.
Whatever, the movie show the shout from the e-sports players who are pursuing their dreams. And I guess time will tell.
